About Boys Girls Read and Write

Boys Girls Read and Write is created to celebrate reading and writing in the 21st century. On Boys Girls Read and Write, we encourage everyone to produce and share their work, as active producers of meaning rather than passive consumers of what is given. Together, we want to strengthen and transform language, literacy, and culture in all communities. To do so, we accept and share children’s and teens’ writing and other creation in any form (writing, music, arts and more), on any topic (talks on games, movies, social media, sports, fashion, and more) on this site. Fictions and non-fictions at any length have places here. Check out the members of the advisory board to see who have been involved to make this site possible.

How to contribute?

Submit Your Creative Work: We receive submissions from children and teens to publish on this site for free. Boys and girls, and traditionally underrepresented groups of writers including English learners or SWD are welcomed to submit their writing. Art and music works are accepted for gallery, too. Visit the submission page to submit your work.

Apply for a Teen Reviewer Position: For boys and girls (between 14-18) who are interested in becoming a reviewer to make comments on the submitted work and have their names acknowledged on our site, write to us by filling out the application form.

Participate in Education Forum: Adult contributors are invited to share their thoughts, too. Visit the submission page to share your thoughts, experiences, and expertise.
